The one time famous summer spot for the lover Casanova, today provides a picture of the Mediterranean soul of Istria. This little village is the favourite destination for sculptors, who organise a summer sculpting academy every year. Carved stone sculptures are found on the square, on the beach and in the marina. Vrsar is also today’s home of the well-known sculptor Dzamonja, whose work is exhibited in his sculpture park. Above Vrsar, you will often see parachutists who take off at the nearby airport. Every Friday in the summer, the fish festival attracts lovers of seafood, a good glass of wine and entertaining music.

Dieses kleine Dorf wird von Bildhauern bevorzugt die jedes Jahr eine Bildhauer-Akademie veranstalten. Aus Stein gehauene Skulpturen befinden sich auf dem Marktplatz, auf dem Strand und bei der Marina. In Vrsar lebt auch der beruehmte Bildhauer Dzamonja, dessen Arbeit im Bildhauerpark ausgestellt wird. Oberhalb von Vrsar lassen sich häufig Fallschirmabspringer beobachten die von dem nahegelegenen Sportflughafen starten. Im Sommer findet jeweils Freitags ein Fischfestival statt für Liebhaber von Fisch, gutem Wein und unterhaltsamer Musik.
